Our Impact

Transforming Ideas into Impactful Solutions

That positively affect communities through Research, Innovations Services and Engagement.

Who We Are

RISE focuses on four pillars – Research, Innovations, services and Engagement. The university is a teaching institution but unlike schools, it goes far beyond that. Staff have to generate knowledge – not relying on other peoples knowledge. Staff, together with students have to be innovative in solving world problems. Likewise, the staff and students have to provide services and engagement with the communities for mutual benefit (outreach).

At RISE, we cater for the for co-teaching pillars. We coordinate and fund seed research among staff and we are grateful that many of the seed grants have “germinated” into bigger grants – several times our budget. Students, under mentorship of staff have generated start ups that have won several customers and impacting communities. Our pioneer start up Yo waste https://yowasteapp.com/ continues to expand as others are growing.

Irrespective of the circumstances under which you, the reader, reached this page, we can partner with you for mutual benefits (NOT theft of intellectual property). Let us link up and share strategies. CoCIS has hardworking staff and very bright and enterprising students. I am very sure there is a lot of value they can add and they can receive.

As you continue with our page, I believe you will get what you want. In an event that what you want can be enhanced by more collaboration, please get in touch and together we enrich scholarship and outreach
